About

A card for Meyerland, and the businesses in it.

Meyerland Spotlight is a planned 9×12 card for 5,000 homes across Meyerland — planned USPS carrier routesin 77096 — with local businesses on it, one per category.Mailing target under review: 5,000 homes. Selected carrier routes are not yet approved. ZIPs 77096 are research anchors, not whole-ZIP delivery or giveaway eligibility. The final count may differ; any expanded coverage must be named and approved.

The reason it's shared rather than a single-business mailer is money. A postcard from one company costs that company the whole drop. Local businesses sharing the same card each pay a fraction, which is how a shared mailing can spread design, printing and postage costs across participating businesses. The reason there's only one of each is that nobody wants to buy a slot next to their closest competitor.

The website exists because a card has a lifespan. It sits on a fridge for a few weeks and then it's gone. A listing doesn't — so every business we list, whether they pay for the card or not, gets a page here that stays up.

Local context

Meyerland is in southwest Houston, west of Interstate 610. Its community association describes the neighborhood's main area and separate Section 10 boundaries. Spotlight is an independent publication, not an association program.

Listings and corrections

Free listings are for businesses serving Meyerland. A business does not need a storefront here: its location and service area will be shown separately. Before publication, we review its contact details, category and any offer terms with the business. Paid card placement is separate from a free listing.

Where it goes next

This edition focuses on Meyerland. Each Spotlight edition has its own local businesses, category availability and mailing routes. Coverage for this edition is planned around 77096; final carrier routes are confirmed before printing.

Who's behind it

It's an independent Texas publication operated from San Antonio, not a franchise of a national mailer company or a local office in every edition area. You get the person who designs your ad on the phone, and the number on the card is answered by the same person.

What it looks like

Both sides, sixteen slots

Eight ad slots a side, a dated masthead down the middle, and the postal markings where USPS wants them. Every ad is designed to be told apart from the one beside it — a shared card that looks like one template repeated sixteen times reads as junk, and gets treated like junk.
